Auspicious Moon

To be loved by a God is both a blessing and a curse.

Young Lan'lah is no one, she bears no title nor accomplishments worthy to be penned in the annals of her tribes' glorious history. Not anymore at least. Not since she has murdered her husband-to-be, thus becoming ostracised by the very people who had high expectations for her. Born under an auspicious moon, Lan'lah's childhood were whispered promises of golden treasures, priceless gifts from the spirits and a spouse who will honour her as equally as she will honour him. But reality is far crueller than dreams.

Now, Lan'lah lives isolated from her tribe. On a stormy day, a stranger arrives claiming she must now fulfil her end of the bargain and relinquish her fate to his hands.
