I'm walking across the crowded Faustus bridge on my way to visit Misty Fields for a day. I spot a pair of men in their 50s fishing under the bridge. The river is calm enough for it not to be dangerous to the men standing on large white boulders.
In one of the many narrow alleys leading to the town square there's a lush secret garden at the other side of the red brick wall blocking access to a residential property. It's exquisitely picturesque.
A block over, tall trees lined at both sides of a street, offer reprieve from the summer heat. The walls here are covered with urban art from all shapes and sizes. One of them catches my interest.
It's a large tree with multiple branches reaching out for the sky. Hanging on each branch are different coat of arms belonging to prominent families of past. Airbrushed across this detailed piece of art someone decided to add a streak of neon green.
The past meets the present.
